Australian all-rounder Cameron Green will be making his Indian Premier League (IPL) debut in 2023 after starring for his country, and in franchise cricket around the world in the last two years. The starlet has been bought by Mumbai Indians (MI) for 17.5 Crore, joining a plethora of young talents as the five-time champions hope to turn around their abysmal 2022 IPL campaign.

Green, who is participating in his first IPL auction, was ecstatic about his new home in India, and shared his thoughts after the mega buy, Cameron Green: “I’m pinching myself that this has all happened. It’s such a weird feeling watching an auction for yourself. I can’t believe how nervous I was and shaking like anything when the final call was confirmed. I’ve always been a huge fan of the IPL and it will be so cool to be a part of it.

"The Mumbai Indians are one of the competition's powerhouses, so I feel very humbled to be joining them. I can’t wait to get there next year,” he added.

The 23-year-old has played just eight international matches for his team, scoring 139 runs at an average of 17.37. He has also picked up five wickets in these games.
