Chennai Super Kings’ (CSK) kiwi opener Devon Conway has left the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 bio-bubble due to his wedding, according to reports. As per ESPNcricinfo, Conway will rejoin CSK on April 24. The rules state that the opening batter will have to remain in isolation for a minimum of three days and clear all the requested protocols before joining the team camp. Conway will unavailable for selection for at least two games for the Yellow Army.

The Super Kings are scheduled to take on Mumbai Indians (MI) on Thursday (April 21). Following that, they will take on the Punjab Kings (PBKS) on Monday (April 25). After a six-day break following their match against, PBKS, the Chennai-based outfit will face Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on Sunday (May 1) in the second fixture of the day.

Prior to his wedding, the CSK management threw a pre-wedding party for Conway before he left for South Africa. His teammates were dressed in South Indian attires as the Kiwi posed for pictures while a few players also shook a leg during the celebrations.

Conway made his IPL debut for CSK in the opening game of the season against the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). He was dismissed for three before being dropped. Currently, Robin Uthappa and Ruturaj Gaikwad are being backed to do the opening job by the team management. He was dropped from the team after the return of Moeen Ali.

Meanwhile, CSK will continue the hunt for their second win of the season when they face MI. The Ravindra Jadeja-led side has only managed one win from six matches and are stuck in the ninth spot in the points table. Meanwhile, MI have also struggled in the season and are yet to win a game. With six defeats from as many matches, the Rohit Sharma-led side are reeling in the last spot on the points table.
