Gujarat Titans (GT) are one of the two new franchises introduced in this year’s Indian Premier League (IPL). The Hardik Pandya-led Gujarat-based franchise will play their first match against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on March 28 at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. They will play a total of 14 matches. Their last league match will be against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at Wankhede Stadium on May 19.
The Gujarat franchise deal a huge blow before the start of their maiden IPL season. English opener Jason Roy pulled out of the 15th edition of the tournament citing bubble fatigue and the need to spend time with his family. Roy was picked at the base price of Rs 2 crore in IPL 2022 mega auction.
