Virat Kohli's classics was yet again on display in the Indian Premier League's (IPL) clash between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Mumbai Indians (MI) at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore on Sunday (April 3).

RCB rode on Kohli's masterclass to bulldoze MI by eight wickets in their opening match of the sixteenth season. Kohli combined with skipper Faf Du Plessis to weave a massive 148-run opening stand to help RCB overhaul the challenging 172-run target with 22 balls to spare.

Right after the win, the Men in Red along with the support staff celebrated their convincing win over MI. The entire team engaged in a funny dance as they celebrated the triumph in their own style. Kohli led the RCB celebration with a funny dance which hogged maximum eyeballs. The internet erupted in joy after seeing their superstar dancing and revelling with their teammates. Captain Faf Du Plessis was also seen lifting Kohli and singing slogans with his team. RCB took to Twitter and posted a video where Faf's brigade was seen celebrating their emphatic victory over mighty MI.

Chasing a competitive 172 following Tilak Varma’s superbly constructed 84 not out off 46 balls for MI, Du Plessis and Kohli meant business from the moment they strode out to the crease. Du Plessis, who normally likes to take his time at the beginning of his innings, teed off in the third over itself after creaming Jason Behrendorff for two sixes and a boundary. Having got his eye in quickly, Du Plessis then just laid siege to the MI bowlers, finding a boundary at will to show he hasn’t lost any of his touch. Kohli (82 not out) and Du Plessis (73) produced an exhibition of sublime stroke-making, plundering 10 boundaries and as many maximums during their near flawless 89-ball stand.

After du Plessis perished in the 15th over, Kohli completed the job, hitting a four and six off Arshad Khan to knock off the winning runs to hand MI their 11th consecutive defeat inn their first match of the season.
