The BCCI has decided to revise the IPL 2026 auction list and have added nine more players including the likes of Swastik Chikara, Chris Green and more. After announcing a list of 350 players for the mini-auction, the BCCI released a revised list with 9 more players later on.

One of the notable players who was added to the auction list is Swastik Chikara, who had won the IPL title with the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) last season. His absence from the original list had come as a  big surprise, but he was eventually added in the revised list.

Players included in new list

The revised list also includes Virandeep Singh, who is the only player from an Associate nation (Malaysia) in this year's auction pool. The five other Indian players on the revised list include Manisankar Murasingh (Tripura), Chama Milind (Hyderabad), K.L. Shrijith (Karnataka), Rahul Raj Namala (Uttarakhand) and Virat Singh (Jharkhand). Notably, both Milind and Virat have previously had stints in the tournament.

Chris Green (Australia) and Eathan Bosch (South Africa) are the remaining two players addded on the revised list. Notably, Eathan is the brother of Corbin Bosch, who has been retained by the Mumbai Indians for IPL 2026 and has become an all-format player for the Proteas.

A short overview of the IPL 2026 auction

The final IPL 2026 auction list includes a total of 359 players, featuring 247 Indians and 112 from overseas. With only 77 spots available among the 10 franchises, majority of the players will be going unsold. Kolkata Knight Riders is the team with the highest remaining purse at INR 64.30 crore with 13 slots vacant. On the other hand, Mumbai Indians is the franchise with the least purse remaining at INR 2.75 crore with five vacant slots.
