India head coach Gautam Gambhir will reunite with his former teammate MS Dhoni as he will attend the wedding of wicketkeeper batter Rishabh Pant's sister Sakshi Pant in Mussoorie, Dehradun. The wedding festivities already started in Mussoorie with the mehendi ceremony on Monday.
As per news agency IANS, Gautam Gambhir is expected to attend the wedding of Rishabh Pant's sister Sakshi Pant.
Former India captain MS Dhoni and Suresh Raina have already arrived for the wedding. The duo was seen grooving with Rishabh Pant at the sangeet ceremony. In a video going viral on the internet, Dhoni and Raina can be seen showing off their dance moves on the popular Sufi song 'Dama Dum Mast Qalandar'.
Dhoni reached Dehradun along with his wife Sakshi to attend the functions while Raina was accompanied by his wife Priyanka. India captain Rohit Sharma and batting great Virat Kohli are likely to attend the wedding ceremony.
Pant, who was a part of Rohit Sharma-led Champions Trophy 2025 winning team, travelled to India on Monday morning and joined the family members for celebrations.
Sakshi Pant is getting married to businessman Ankit Chaudhary. The duo got engaged last year after dating for almost nine years.
After Sakshi's wedding, MS Dhoni and Rishabh Pant will join their respective franchises for the Indian Premier League 2025, which is scheduled to start from March 22. Rishabh Pant will be seen playing for the new franchise as Lucknow Super Giants brought him in the mega auction for the marquee event. Pant-led LSG will commence their campaign on March 24 against Delhi Capitals. On the other hand, Dhoni will be seen representing CSK. The Chennai-based franchise will open their campaign on March 23 against arch-rivals Mumbai Indians at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
