India wicketkeeper batter KL Rahul has joined the Delhi Capitals (DC) squad ahead of their second Indian Premier League (IPL) clash against Sunrisers Hyderabad, which is scheduled to take place on March 30 at ACA VDCA International Cricket Stadium - Visakhapatnam.
KL Rahul missed DC's IPL 2025 opener clash against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) last week because of the birth of his first child with actor Athiya Shetty.
Delhi Capitals took their 'X' formerly known as Twitter to share a video of Rahul's arrival before their second clash of the cash rich league.
You're loved. You're ours. You're home. Welcome to Dilli, KLR."
The franchise shared another picture of KL Rahul sweating out in DC's training jersey and captioned the post, "Let the games begin."
KL Rahul is all set to make his debut for the Delhi-based franchise in their upcoming clash against Pat Cummins-led side after being picked by the franchise for Rs 14 crore in last year's mega auction. DC started the tournament on a winning note with a thrilling one wicket win in a nail biter against Rahul's former franchise Lucknow. Ashutosh Sharma smashed a 31-ball 66 not out to snatch victory from Lucknow's jaws with a blistering knock studded with five sixes and as many fours.
KL Rahul has played 132 IPL matches, where he scored 4,683 runs at an average of 45.47. He has also scored four centuries and 37 fifties in the tournament so far after making his debut in 2013.
