Gujarat Titans (GT) star opener Sai Sudharsan bagged a sensational milestone during the IPL 2025 clash against Rajasthan Royals (RR). Opening the batting for Gujarat Titans, Sai Sudharsan put on a dazzling display of his batting prowess against the Rajasthan Royals. He continued his outstanding form with the bat and played a crucial role in setting his team up for a significant total on the scoreboard.

Sai Sudharsan, who's been the leading run-scorer for the Gujarat Titans this season, got his team off to a solid start, even after his opening partner, Shubman Gill, was dismissed early. The left-handed batter played some absolutely stunning shots during his innings, really putting the Rajasthan Royals' bowling attack under significant pressure.

Holding down one end of the pitch, Sai Sudharsan went on to notch yet another half-century in this ongoing IPL match. Sudharsan brought his fifty in just 32 balls, and even after crossing that milestone, he kept the momentum going, determined to score as many runs as possible for his team against RR.

This half-century marks his fifth consecutive score of fifty or more in Ahmedabad. His scores in his last five innings at this venue read an impressive 82 not out, 63, 74, 103, and now 84 not out. With this consistency, he joins the legendary AB de Villiers as only the second batter in the IPL to achieve the feat of five consecutive 50-plus scores at a single ground. AB De Villiers accomplished this for Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium between 2018 and 2019.

Unfortunately for GT, Sai Sudharsan's fantastic innings came to an end in the 19th over, thanks to a brilliant piece of bowling from Tushar Deshpande. The fast bowler delivered a superb yorker, and as Sudharsan swung hard at the ball, he got an inside edge, losing his shape in the process. The ball was travelling quickly, but Rajasthan Royals' captain Sanju Samson showed incredible athleticism, diving full stretch to his right and low to snatch the catch with both hands.

Sai Sudharsan's knock was truly impressive, as he scored a well-compiled 82 runs off just 53 balls. The opening batter maintained a healthy strike rate of over 154 and also peppered his innings with 8 boundaries and 3 towering sixes during his time at the crease. Besides Sudharsan's heroics, Jos Buttler and Shahrukh Khan also chipped in with valuable contributions of 36 runs each, and Sherfane Rutherford added a handy 36 as well, helping Gujarat post a formidable total of 217 runs on the board. For the Rajasthan Royals, Tushar Deshpande and Maheesh Theekshana managed to pick up two wickets apiece, but both bowlers ended up being quite expensive on the night.
