Gujarat Titans spinner Prasidh Krishna played a crucial role in the Shubman Gill-led side's win against Mumbai Indians on their second clash of the ongoing Indian Premier League at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Krishna picked up two crucial wickets of MI. He removed Suryakumar Yadav and Tilak Varma when both batters were building momentum in the game.
After Gujarat's 36-run win against Mumbai, Player of the Match Prasidh Krishna said that during the 10th over, he was thinking that he hadn't waited so long to bowl in T20s. However, he praised Shubman Gill's decision to call him late to the bowl.
"Nothing much, don't really have any words right now. It was the tenth over, I was thinking I had not waited so long to bowl (in a T20 game) but it paid off (in the end). We were sitting and watching how the first innings went. Cutters into the wicket were doing well and the plan was to make sure I use those lengths. I just figured that was working, so did not want to test the speed gun (smiles). Wanted to keep things simple, every single ball was important" said Prasidh Krishna.
