Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) captain Rajat Patidar lauds Devdutt Padikkal and Virat Kohli for their impressive performance in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 clash against Punjab Kings (PBKS) at Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium, Mullanpur, Chandigarh.
Kohli's unbeaten 73 off 54 and Padikkal's 61-run knock helped RCB to register a seven-wicket win against PBKS. After registering a dominating win against PBKS, RCB are currently third in the points table with five wins, three losses and 10 points. With the same win-loss ratio, PBKS is in the fourth spot.
"Credit goes to the bowlers. Dev and Kohli, the way they executed their plans. The bowlers chipped in at different stages, the way they executed their plans, it was beautiful," Patidar said in the post-match presentation.
Earlier, RCB's spin duo Krunal Pandya and Suyash Sharma, Punjab's explosive batting unit by picking a brace each. After RCB maintained its unbeaten run away from its home stadium, Patidar wants to change the momentum on their home ground in Bengaluru.
"I want to win a toss there (Chinnaswamy). We will try to play good cricket at our home ground, we will try to rectify our mistakes there," he concluded.
RCB will now face Rajasthan Royals (RR) in their upcoming clash of the tournament, which is scheduled to take place on April 24 at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. This will be the second time that both franchises will face each other in the 18th edition of the tournament. During their last outing, RCB defeated RR at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Rajasthan.
