The 33-year-old Australian all-rounder reached his century in just 56 balls to become the first overseas batter to score a hundred this season. Marsh is now the 11th Australian batter to register a three-digit score in the tournament's history. His excellent form this season has also seen him cross the 500-run mark for the first time in an IPL season.

March ended up cracking a blistering 67-ball 117 riding on 10 fours and eight sixes to help LSG post a colossal total of 235/2.

Marsh received a standing ovation from the Ahmedabad crowd and his teammates in the Lucknow dugout after his century.  Marsh launched a fierce assault on Afghanistan star Rashid Khan, plundering 25 runs in a single over from the leg-spinner, including two sixes and three boundaries, significantly disrupting the Gujarat Titans' bowling strategy.

Marsh appeared set to reach 150, but his exceptional innings was cut short on the second delivery of the 19th over by left-arm pacer Arshad Khan. He was dismissed for a blistering 117 runs off just 64 deliveries, an innings that featured 10 boundaries and eight sixes, showcasing his destructive ability against both pace and spin. In the powerplay, Marsh expertly exploited the fielding restrictions, targeting a well-drilled Gujarat bowling attack. He and Aiden Markram, who scored 36 off 24 balls, forged a 91-run opening partnership. Marsh then combined with Nicholas Pooran to form a devastating second-wicket stand, adding 121 runs in just 51 balls as the two big-hitting batters tore into the Gujarat bowling attack.

Marsh's century makes him the fourth batter to score a hundred for the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), joining KL Rahul, Marcus Stoinis, and Quinton de Kock. Notably, the South African star, de Kock, is the only LSG batter to have scored more than one century.
