Royal Challengers Bengaluru's Virat Kohli (L) and his teammate Devdutt Padikkal run between the wickets during the Indian Premier League (IPL) match against Kolkata Knight Riders at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on March 22, 2025.

Highlights:

Spinners will have enough purchase from the wicket in Mullanpur.

RCB batters will have a point to prove against PBKS.

Devdutt Padikkal is highly likely to return to the side.

Within a couple of days, it is time for a rematch between Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium, Mullanpur, Chandigarh. RCB are licking their wounds after the batting fiasco in rain-curtailed game which led to third consecutive defeat at home. RCB will look to return the favour and climb up the table by beating Shreyas Iyer's PBKS at their home.

PBKS are likely to go with an unchanged side in the encounter. Josh Inglis showed glimpses of what he can do and it may keep Glenn Maxwell on the sidelines. Also, Harpreet Brar did a good job barring the tough last over where he was whacked for three sixes by Tim David. Also, Iyer will be much confident give Yuzvendra Chahal has regained his form.

PBKS Predicted Playing XI plus impact player:

Priyansh Arya, Prabhsimran Singh, Shreyas Iyer(c), Nehal Wadhera, Josh Inglis(wk), Shashank Singh, Marcus Stoinis, Marco Jansen, Harpreet Brar, Xavier Bartlett, Arshdeep Singh, Yuzvendra Chahal.

On the other hand, RCB will make one obvious change to the side by bringing back Devdutt Padikkal. The left-handed batter may have prevented a collapse on April 18. This will mean that Manoj Bhandage who was used as impact player will warm the benches. So far, Padikkal has scored 119 runs from six innings.
