On Tuesday, April 8, Priyansh Arya, the new hero of the Punjab Kings, shared the conversation he had with skipper Shreyas Iyer that enabled him to score an incredible century against the Chennai Super Kings. The 24-year-old demonstrated his purpose right away when he set records by scoring the joint-fourth fastest century in IPL history. Priyansh continued to attack the CSK bowlers after hitting a six off the first ball he faced against Khaleel Ahmed.

The 24-year-old expressed his joy after reaching a hundred after hitting seven boundaries and nine sixes during his knock on Tuesday. According to the PBKS batter, he wants to keep helping the team.

"It feels out of the world for me. I am very happy for myself but I want to contribute more for the team," said Priyansh.

The opener disclosed that Shreyas wanted him to target the bowling from the first ball and stated that he wanted to keep the intention intact.

"The intent will be same for me. When I spoke to Shreyas bhaiya, he told me to bat with positive intent. If I get the first ball in the slot, he told me to go for it. I did exactly that tonight," said Priyansh.

Priyansh stated that he wants to play in accordance with the circumstances, even though his aggressive knock went into overdrive after PBKS was reduced to 83 for five. According to Priyansh, he spoke with Nehal Wadhera in the middle and he advised him to keep playing his natural style of play in spite of the wickets.

"I always like to play according to the situations. When Nehal walked in, I had a chat with him whether I showed slow down or not. But he told me to play my natural game and I continued to go for big shots," said Priyansh.

With the victory, PBKS returned to the top four and will now play SRH.
