Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) assistant coach Lance Klusener backed young spinner Ravi Bishnoi ahead of their upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 clash against Rajasthan Royals (RR).  Klusener believes Bishnoi is going 'from strength to strength' after getting a slow start in the IPL 2025.

Bishnoi was one of the players from LSG who was retained by the franchise before the mega auction, he was supposed to be the lead spinner for the Lucknow-based franchise.

However, the 24-year-old struggled for control in the initial games but has come into form and now has 8 wickets in 7 matches. Ahead of LSG's IPL clash against RR,  Klusener said that Bishnoi has gotten better as the tournament has progressed. Klusener said that LSG are expecting a big performance from Bishnoi in his hometown of Jaipur.

"I think he's been going from strength to strength, especially to his own high standards. He probably had a bit of a slow start, but as the tournament has progressed, he's only gotten better. I thought he played a good hand in the last game too. And with Markram bowling four overs of spin, I thought he bowled extremely well. It's not always easy to get everyone's quota in, especially when you're bowling 11 overs of spin. But overall, Ravi is just getting better and better. He's back in his home state and hometown, and we're looking forward to another strong performance from him," said Klusener.

LSG will face RR for their eighth match of the IPL 2025, which will take place on April 19 at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. The Rishabh Pant-led side are currently fifth in the points table, winning four matches out of their seven outings.
