Moreover, Gill, who scored a 27-ball 38, also became the second-fastest player overall, after Chris Gayle, to reach four figures at a single venue in the entire history of IPL. Shubman Gill accomplished this feat within the powerplay overs of their match against Mumbai Indians.
In the process of setting this record, Gill outpaced renowned players such as David Warner, Shaun Marsh, and Suryakumar Yadav. Notably, the legendary Chris Gayle, who holds the record for the fastest 1000 runs at a venue, reached the milestone in just 19 innings at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. Meanwhile, Gill achieved this milestone in his 20th innings.
