Virat Kohli and KL Rahul's animated chat in middle of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 clash between Delhi Capitals (DC) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) turned heads. This match marks the final encounter of the rivalry week in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025.
In their previous meeting in Bengaluru, the Delhi Capitals, led by Axar Patel, secured an impressive victory, with KL Rahul playing a pivotal role. Rahul had smashed a brilliant 93 runs off 53 balls, guiding DC to a successful run chase. Following that victory, KL Rahul celebrated emphatically, pounding his chest and thrusting his bat into the ground, proclaiming the venue as "his ground." Leading up to the DC versus RCB match in Delhi, there was speculation about Virat Kohli potentially replicating this celebration in Delhi.
However, prior to the start of play in Delhi, Kohli and Rahul seemingly dispelled any notions of animosity by sharing a warm and friendly moment. While it initially appeared that the interaction between the two would remain cordial, the intensity of the match eventually led to a heated verbal exchange between them during the second innings.
A clip aired by the broadcasters after the fifth ball of the 8th over, bowled by Kuldeep Yadav, captured the moment. In the video, Virat Kohli approached KL Rahul and appeared to be saying something. The Delhi Capitals' player did not back down and responded with equal intensity.

However, after the end of the match, which RCB won by six wickets, both Kohli and Rahul hugged it out to douse the debate.
It was Virat Kohli's 51 and Krunal Pandya's unbeaten 73 which helped RCB chase down 163-run target. This win marked a historic milestone for RCB, as they became the first team in the entire history of the IPL to record six consecutive away wins. The former finalists have now ascended to the top of the IPL 2025 points table, boasting an impressive record of seven wins from their ten matches played.
