After their star batter was dismissed, some of Virat Kohli's supporters were back at it, mispronouncing names on social media as they hurried to leave a comment on an opposition bowler's Instagram handle. This time, actor Arshad Warsi was the focus of the confusion as Virat Kohli's supporters deluged his Instagram accounts with comments following Arshad Khan's dismissal of the Royal Challengers Bengaluru star during their IPL 2025 encounter against Gujarat Titans on Wednesday, April 2.
Virat Kohli fans involve in hilarious mix-up
This is not the first time that some of Kohli's supporters have misidentified cricket players and attacked their namesakes in an attempt to discredit the Indian star. When Glenn Phillips made a spectacular catch to eliminate Virat Kohli during an India vs. New Zealand group-stage match in Dubai during the Champions Trophy, electronics giant Philips was the target of social media mockery. Trolls flooded Arshad Warsi's Instagram on Wednesday, resulting in some inadvertent teasing.

"Kohli ko out kyun kiya," one fan commented on Warsi's latest Instagram post, which featured superstar actor Ajay Devgn.
Another fan joined in, saying, "Ee Circuit, tu Kohli ka wicket kyun liya re?"- a remark made in reference to Warsi's iconic character from the movie Munna Bhai MBBS.
In RCB's opening home match of the 2025 IPL season, Virat Kohli appeared in form. However, youthful left-arm bowler Arshad Khan removed Virat Kohli in the second over. With Prasidh Krishna at deep fine-leg, Kohli flicked a delivery right into his hands. Despite the good timing of the ball, Kohli found the lone defender in the leg square.
Kohli has not caused much problems for the scorers since opening his IPL 2025 campaign against the Kolkata Knight Riders with a game-winning 59 not out. Prior to his early dismissal against Gujarat on Wednesday, he was out for 31 off 30 balls against CSK.
