Throughout the encounter, she remained focused on the boy’s well-being, checking in on him several times to ensure he was okay while sternly reiterating her warning to the press. As the crowd grew, some photographers and onlookers began to block the path to their vehicle. This prompted Mahieka to intercede further, requesting that they "raasta de do" (please give way) so they could reach their car safely.
