The much-talked-about face-off between Vaibhav Sooryavanshi and Jasprit Bumrah lived up to the hype in the best possible way. The young batter made a strong statement by hitting Bumrah for a six on the very first ball he faced. What fans had been waiting for turned into a memorable moment during the clash between the Rajasthan Royals (RR) and the Mumbai Indians (MI).
And it didn’t stop there. Sooryavanshi went on to hit another six off Bumrah in the same over, leaving the crowd thrilled.

The match itself had a delayed start due to rain, with players and fans waiting for nearly three hours before play could begin. In the end, the game was shortened to 11 overs per side at the Barsapara Stadium.
Yashasvi Jaiswal gave Rajasthan a strong start by taking on Deepak Chahar and scoring 22 runs in the first over. Soon after, all eyes turned to the contest between Sooryavanshi and Bumrah, which fans had been eagerly waiting to see.

Despite Bumrah’s experience and reputation, the young batter showed great confidence. When he got a full delivery in his range, he sent it over wide long-on for a big six. A few balls later, he struck again, this time pulling a short ball over backward square leg for another maximum.
In that over, Bumrah gave away 14 runs, with Sooryavanshi scoring 12 of them. It turned out to be a standout moment in the match and a big confidence boost for the young batter.
