The 14-year-old Suryavanshi clocked the historic feat of becoming the youngest centurion in T20 cricket and also recorded the second-fastest century in the history of the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Suryavanshi's explosive innings against Gujarat Titans (GT) at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur saw him score a blistering 101 runs in a mere 38 balls, reaching his century in just 35 balls. In the wake of his extraordinary batting display, the match result almost became secondary. But just to let you know, RR ended up overhauling the GT's 210-run target with 25 balls and eight wickets to spare. His sensational 35-ball century now stands as the second-fastest in the IPL, only surpassed by Chris Gayle's 30-ball innings for RCB. It also marks the fastest century ever scored by an Indian batsman in the league's history.

While countless other 14-year-olds across the nation are typically occupied with completing their middle-school homework and perhaps sneaking in a clandestine session of PlayStation, the left-handed Vaibhav Suryavanshi displayed a remarkable maturity and skill on the cricket field. He stood firm and delivered a commanding performance against seasoned Indian bowlers Ishant Sharma and Mohammed Siraj, who collectively boast an astounding experience of 141 Test matches between them.

Meanwhile, even legends like Sachin Tendulkar and Yuvraj Singh couldn't stop themselves from lavishing praise on the wonderkid.

Batting great Sachin Tendulkar heaped praise on the young prodigy and lauded Suryavanshi's 'fearless approach', and impressive 'bat speed'," and his exceptional ability to 'pick the length early'

"Vaibhav’s fearless approach, bat speed, picking the length early, and transferring the energy behind the ball was the recipe behind a fabulous innings. End result: 101 runs off 38 balls. Well played!!," Tendulkar wrote on X.
