Rishabh Pant's batting heroics in the series opener against New Zealand in Bengaluru, has taken a big jump in the ICC's latest Test rankings for batters. Riding on his recent batting show, India's superstar wicketkeeper-batter Pant has successfully surpassed his teammate and batting juggernaut Virat Kohli to claim the sixth position.

Pant's stellar performance led to a three-spot jump in the rankings. Meanwhile, Kohli, despite a fluent 70-run knock in Bengaluru, slipped one place to the eighth position.

Yashasvi Jaiswal continues to be India's top-ranked batter, holding the fourth position. However, Indian captain Rohit Sharma experienced a decline, dropping two places to share the 15th spot with Sri Lanka's Dimuth Karunaratne.

England's Joe Root remains firmly at the summit of the rankings, maintaining a significant lead over his competitors.

New Zealand's Rachin Ravindra and Devon Conway have made significant strides in the latest ICC Test rankings for batters. Ravindra climbed 36 places to the 18th position, while Conway moved up 12 spots to the 36th position.

In the bowling category, New Zealand's Matt Henry emerged as the biggest winner. His impressive performance of eight wickets in the historic victory over India in Bengaluru propelled him two places to the ninth position, setting a new career-high rating. Additionally, his teammate Will O'Rourke gained two spots to the 39th position, rewarded for his seven wickets in the same match.

Pakistan's Noman Ali re-entered the rankings at the 17th position after a stellar performance of 11 wickets in two innings against England. Meanwhile, his teammate Sajid Khan climbed 22 places to the 50th position, earning the Player of the Match award in the same series.

India continues to dominate the ICC Test bowling rankings. Jasprit Bumrah remains at the top, showcasing his exceptional skills. Closely following him is teammate R Ashwin, solidifying India's strong position. Additionally, Ravindra Jadeja maintains his impressive seventh spot, further highlighting India's dominance in the top 10.
