Rachin Ravindra's century

New Zealand started Day 3 at 180/3 with Rachin Ravindra batting at unbeaten 22. He then turned that knock into a big and crucial one. India did manage to get some quick wickets but a 137-run partnership between Rachin and Southee again rattled the Indian side.

This partnership put New Zealand in a great position and helped them take a massive lead over the hosts. Southee got out after scoring 65 runs off 73 balls and Rachin was the final wicket that New Zealand lost. However, his 134-run knock put the visitors in the driver's seat. Rachin Ravindra also became the first New Zealand batter to score a Test century in India after 12 years. The last batter was Ross Taylor who scored 113 runs in Bengaluru itself

New Zealand lead by 356 runs

The visitors have now taken a massive 356-run lead and will eye to restrict the Indian team under it so they can win this match by an innings. India on the other hand, have the target of not only taking down this lead but posting something near 500 on the scoreboard, so they can get themselves as chance to make a comeback in this match.
