BLV Blasters created history by winning the second consecutive title of the Sher E Punjab T20 Cup 2024 hosted by the Punjab Cricket Association. Naman Dhir-led side won the title decider by defeating Trident Stallion by four wickets on June 27. Batting first Trident Stallion managed to score 204 runs. Openers Harnoor Singh (83) and Anmol Malhotra (58) knocks helped Blaster to defend the title.

In the first innings for Trident Stallion at IS Bindra Punjab Cricket Association Stadium in Mohali, their captain Prabhsimran Singh scored 50 runs in 31 balls with four fours and three sixes. Apart from him, Salil Arora played a quick innings of 78 runs in 33 balls with six fours and five sixes. which helped Stallion to score 204 runs for five wickets in 20 overs.

BLV Blasters' winning performance

 

Chasing the target of 205 runs, BLV Blasters lost two wickets by the score of 62 runs. But opener Harnoor Singh held one end. Harnoor played a brilliant innings of 83 runs with four fours and six sixes in 52 balls. While captain Naman Dhir could score only 16 runs in 10 balls. After this, Anmol Malhotra played an innings of 58 runs with three fours and four sixes in 33 balls. While in the end Harpreet Brar scored 16 runs by hitting three sixes in 6 balls and led his team to victory in just 19.4 overs. Due to this Blasters scored 205 runs for six wickets and captured the title for the second consecutive season.
