Cricket Australia (CA) on June 8 made a few changes to their white-balls squads for the Bangladesh tour. Travis Head has been granted personal leave whereas Mitchell Marsh is yet to recover from his ankle injury. Leg-spinner Tanveer Sangha will miss the tour after sustaining a hamstring injury in ODI series against Pakistan.

As a result, Matthew Short has got another chance to prove his mettle along with young Ollie Peake. Meanwhile, Australia have given maiden white-ball call-up to off-spinner Todd Murphy.
Earlier, Head was missing from the ODIs against Pakistan as he was part of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 playoffs.

"Travis was initially selected in the ODI and T20I legs of this Bangladesh tour but has subsequently been granted personal leave for both," national selector Tony Dodemaide said.
"We look forward to seeing him again for the top end Test series against Bangladesh."
Marsh doubtful for T20Is too
In Marsh and Head's absence, Josh Inglis is set to lead Australia again. In addition, if Marsh doesn't recover in time for the T20I series against Bangladesh, he may take over the T20I captaincy as well on the sub-continent tour.
"We were hopeful Mitch Marsh would be available for the Bangladesh ODI series however he is still returning to full fitness from an ankle injury," Dodemaide said. "Mitch will join the group in Dhaka and begin preparations for the T20I series.
"We're excited to welcome Todd Murphy into the ODI squad for the first time, while it made sense for Ollie Peake and Matt Short to stay with the group following the Pakistan tour."
The ODI series will begin on June 9 in Dhaka. All three ODIs will be played there. The T20I series is scheduled to commence on June 17 in Chattogram. The Bangladesh tour will conclude on June 21.
