The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has provided fitness update about India's five injured players -- Jasprit Bumrah, Prasidh Krishna, KL Rahul and Shreyas Iyer – who are doing their rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy (NCA), Bengaluru.

Bumrah who recently posted a video of himself bowling in the nets is on track to make his comeback. Similarly Krishna who has been struggling with the recurring back injury is also expected to regain full fitness.

“The two fast bowlers are in the final stages of their rehab and are bowling with full intensity in the nets. The duo will now play some practice games, which the NCA will organise. The BCCI Medical Team is pleased with their progress and will make a final decision after assessing them following the practice games,” the BCCI said in the release.

Rishabh Pant who survived a horrific car accident on December 30, 2022, has been doing his NCA after undergoing surgeries. Pant on July 21 also posted a video of him doing weight training. Pant has recovered well and has started batting and wicketkeeping.
