Dinesh Karthik revealed an amusing secret about India’s star batter Virat Kohli highlighting his interest in aliens and extraterrestrial studies. Karthik revealed that Kohli finds the topic captivating and loves to read and explore about these things. While the wicket-keeper himself doesn't believe in aliens, he revealed this never-heard-before story of the former RCB captain's keen fascination regarding aliens after a fan questioned him.
"I don't believe in aliens. Actually, I don't have much knowledge in that domain. But I'll tell you who's interested in aliens and who's read up about it, knows a bit about it. You'll be surprised, yes, Virat Kohli,” said Karthik during a chat with Cricbuzz
"I remember him showing me a YouTube video about aliens spotted in America or someplace in Nevada. I forgot the name exactly. It's not something that's top of my list in terms of memory, but I know he was very interested in that subject," he added recalling an instance when Virat Kohli shared a YouTube video with him regarding alien sightings in Nevada.
Over the years, the bond between Kohli and Karthik has deepened, forged through their shared experiences in both the Indian national team's dressing room and as teammates at Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Karthik retires from cricket
Recently retiring from active play, Karthik concluded his season impressively with 326 runs in 15 innings, boasting a strike rate of 187.36. Despite retiring as a player, he will continue his association with RCB, transitioning into roles as a batting coach and mentor.
"Welcome back Dinesh Karthik to RCB in a new role as mentor and batting coach for the Men's team! His return marks a new chapter in his cricket journey. Show him your support, 12th Man Army" RCB expressed in a statement.
