India speedster Mohammed Siraj penned down a heartfelt post for his superhero Virat Kohli as he announced his retirement from the Tests ahead of the upcoming red-ball series against England. Both Kohli and Siraj share a very good bond, and the speedster also made his debut during Kohli's captaincy.

Siraj took to his Instagram to share a heartfelt note for the batting great Virat Kohli after he announced his retirement from the longest format of the game. 

"To my superhero, Congratulations on this wonderful career you had in test cricket. Your legacy will stay forever. You have inspired generations of cricketers like me and will continue to do so with your achievements and how you have carried yourself bhaiya. The dressing room won’t be the same without you. Thank you for always backing me and motivating me to do well. ❤️ Wish you the best. King 👑 @virat.kohli Bhaiya" posted Mohammad Siraj.

Kohli ends his Test career as the fourth-highest run-getter in the longest format of the game behind Sachin Tendulkar (15,921 runs), Rahul Dravid (13,265 runs) and Sunil Gavaskar (10,122 runs).. He scored 9,230 runs at an average of 46.85, with 30 centuries and 31 fifties in 210 innings and the best score of 254* in his 123 Test outings. Batting legend Kohli also holds the record for most Test runs as an Indian captain with 5,864 runs in 68 matches (113 innings) at an excellent average of 54.80, including 20 centuries and 18 fifties.

Kohli's last Test ouing came in Australia during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 where he failed to perform after scoring an unbeaten century in the first Test match. He ended that series scoring 190 runs in five Test outings where Australia defeated India 3-1 to register their first win after a long wait of 10 years.
