Instead, she recollects the commendable score of 91 off merely 99 balls she managed during that intense July match.
With a career spanning close to two decades, Perry's enthusiasm for cricket is infectious. Despite being only 32, her journey in the sport is nothing short of remarkable. Addressing speculations about her future in cricket, Perry elucidated her stance, "It is pure speculation to know what happens in a couple years' time but from my perspective, I still love being involved," as reported by Cricket Australia. She further added, "In terms of motivation, it's still exactly the same, if not more."

Reflecting on this, Perry remarked, "In a lot of senses, it's (women's sport) arrived and things just become more and more exciting every year." Perry's sentiment is clear: "After our Ashes campaign over in the UK... it's hard not to want to be involved for as long as possible."
Apart from her personal ambitions, Perry's heart beats for the team. This was evident when she extended her staunch support to fellow cricketer and Australia's captain, Meg Lanning. Lanning's absence from the recent Ashes series, owing to health concerns, was a blow to the team. Addressing this, Perry highlighted the unity and camaraderie within the squad, emphasizing that Lanning enjoys "the full support of the playing squad."
