England vs South Africa 1st T20I will take place on September 10.

The England Cricket Board (ECB) has announced England's playing XI for the first T20I against South Africa, which is scheduled to take place on September 10 at Sophia Gardens Cricket Ground in Cardiff, Wales. Sam Curran, who was included in the squad after the team's humiliating defeat against the Proteas in the second ODI, has been named in the playing XI for the first time since last year's tour of the Caribbean, while Phil Salt is back at the top after his paternity leave for the series against West Indies in June.

ECB took their 'X', formerly known as Twitter, to announce their playing XI for the first T20I against South Africa.

England will feature with four changes in the first T20I against South Africa for their last T20I outing, as the side have included Phil Salt, Sam Curran, Jamie Overton and Jofra Archer in their playing XI. Curran, who was part of Chennai Super Kings (CSK), will be one of three seam-bowling options for England, alongside Jofra Archer and Jamie Overton, with frontline spinners Adil Rashid and Liam Dawson supported by Will Jacks and Jacob Bethell.

England are coming after losing a three-match ODI series against South Africa; however, the side will be confident as they avoided a 3-0 sweep by winning the final game in Southampton by a record 342 runs after scoring 414-5 and then bundling South Africa for 72.
