Indian opener Smriti Mandhana has officially claimed the top spot in the ICC Women’s ODI Batting Rankings. Following a consistent performance in the three-match series against Australia, Mandhana reached 790 rating points, narrowly overtaking South Africa’s captain Laura Wolvaardt (782). While Mandhana currently holds the crown, Wolvaardt will have an immediate opportunity to challenge for the lead during South Africa's upcoming series against New Zealand this spring.

The rankings also highlighted a bittersweet milestone for Alyssa Healy, who finished her ODI career ranked fourth with 744 points after scoring a century in her final match. She is flanked by her Australian teammates, with Beth Mooney holding third place and Ashleigh Gardner rounding out the top five. On the Indian side, captain Harmanpreet Kaur made a significant return to the top 10, jumping four spots to ninth place after a strong individual series, while Jemimah Rodrigues maintains a solid position at 12th.
Alana King becomes no.1 ODI bowler
The bowling rankings saw a historic shift as Australian spinner Alana King surged to the world No. 1 position. Achieving a career-high 775 rating points, King effectively ended Sophie Ecclestone’s dominant four-year streak at the summit. King’s rise was fueled by her masterclass against India, where she took seven wickets—highlighted by a decisive four-wicket haul in the final match that secured a massive 185-run victory for Australia.

Australia’s bowling depth remains unrivaled, with King leading a pack of five Australians currently ranked within the global top eight. Joining her in this elite group are Ashleigh Gardner in third, Annabel Sutherland in fifth, Megan Schutt in seventh, and Kim Garth in eighth. This collective dominance underscores Australia's recent clean sweep of the ODI series, despite the individual batting gains made by the Indian squad.
In the bowling and all-rounder categories, Deepti Sharma remains the standout representative for India. She currently holds the 10th spot in the bowling rankings and maintains a prominent presence among the world’s top all-rounders, where she is positioned at world No. 5.
Despite Sharma’s consistency, Australia’s Ashleigh Gardner continues to dominate the ODI all-rounder rankings. With 516 points, Gardner holds a commanding lead over her nearest rival, West Indies captain Hayley Matthews, who sits at 418 points. Australia’s strength in this department was further bolstered by Annabel Sutherland, who climbed two places to solidify her standing among the elite.
