Having donned the national jersey across Tests, ODIs, and T20Is while lifting multiple trophies, the veteran swing bowler is now in the twilight of his playing years. Despite the sudden surge in public attention, the veteran pacer remains completely unbothered about whether a national recall will ever materialize. He noted that having already fulfilled his dream of representing his country, he feels no lingering compulsion to prove himself. For him, continuing to play is driven purely by personal enjoyment, backed by a disciplined routine rather than the pursuit of international milestones.

“I’ve already played for India. That’s not something I have to achieve now. If I get another opportunity, that’s great, but I’ve been there. Everything I’m doing now is because of my love for the game. I know I have to stay disciplined," Bhuvneshwar said.

To maintain his edge while managing his workload, Bhuvneshwar continues to feature in domestic tournaments and state competitions like the UP T20 League.
