IND vs AUS: Captain Minnu Mani completes 10-wicket haul after Ellyse Perry's 21-year-old WBBL teammate causes India's collapse on Day 3

Australia A have a 192-run lead in the bag at the end of Day 2 after Kate Peterson and Minnu Mani registered their respective five-wicket hauls.

As many as 15 wickets tumbled on Day 2 of the unofficial Test between India A and Australia A in Gold Coast. After 21-year-old pacer Kate Peterson's fifer helped the hosts bowl out India A for 184, skipper Minnu Mani bagged five wickets and completed a 10-wicket haul in the match. At the end of Day 2's play, Australia A had 192-run lead with three wickets in hand.
 

Another collapse for India A

India A were 100/2 at the end of Day 1, Petersen knocked over Tejal Hasabnis to break the partnership. Hasabnis scored 32 runs from 71 balls. In her next over, she got the wicket of opener Shweta Sehrawat who scored 40 runs from 120 balls. On the next ball, Sanjeevan Sajana got out for a golden duck. Uma Chetry could not make an impact either and became Peterson's fifth victim of the day.
 

Lower order batters' crucial contributions helped India A post 184 on the board. Sayali Satghare scored 21 runs from 63 balls. Skipper Minnu scored 17 runs from 37 balls whereas Mannat Kashyap contributed with a 23-ball 19. India A lost eight wickets for 84 runs on Day 2. Australia A had a 28-run lead after the first innings. Peterson who bagged a fifer played for Sydney Sixers in Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL).

Mani strikes early

Mani did not let Australia A dominate. She opened the bowling from the other end and dismissed opener Georgia Voll and skipper Charli Knott for their respective ducks. Wicketkeeper-batter Nicole Faltum tried to stitch a partnership but fell after scoring 13 runs from 38 balls. Then Minnu knocked over Tess Flintoff as Australia A lost four wickets for 53 runs.

Damage control with fifties

Opener Emma de Broughe and Maddy Drake got Australia A close to the 100-run mark. Emma departed after scoring 58 runs from 117 balls. She lost her wicket to Priya Mishra. Maitlan Brown played a crucial knock of 26 runs from 45 balls. Minnu returned to the attack and completed her fifer. Satghare got the wicket of Peterson for a nine-ball duck. At the end of Day 2's play, Drake remained not out for 54 off 100 balls. Australia A were 164/7 at Day 2, Stumps. They have a 192-run lead in the bag and the game is delicately poised between the two teams.
