Australia A chose to bat first and posted a huge total of 532/6 before declaring. Konstas and Josh Philippe both scored impressive centuries. Philippe's knock was particularly aggressive, as he remained unbeaten on 123 runs off just 87 balls, including 18 fours and four sixes. Kellaway also contributed a valuable 88 runs, while Liam Scott added 81. For India A, Harsh Dubey was the most effective bowler with three wickets, and Gurnoon Brar took two.

In their reply, the India A batsmen also put on a masterclass. The top order gave the team a solid start with commendable efforts from Abhimanyu Easwaran (44), N Jagadeesan (64), and Sai Sudharsan (73). However, the standout performances came from Devdutt Padikkal and Dhruv Jurel, who both scored centuries. Padikkal was the highest scorer with 150 runs off 281 balls, and Jurel contributed 140. For Australia A, Corey Rocchiccioli was the most successful bowler with three wickets.
