Stage is set for the Women's T20 World Cup 2026 which is set to get underway from June 12. The preparation for the showpiece tournament has officially intensified with the confirmation of the tournament's warm-up schedule. A total of 12 preparatory matches are slated to take place between June 6 and June 10, hosted across Derby, Loughborough, and Cardiff. These fixtures serve as the final curtain-raiser before the main event officially commences on June 12.

Warm-up fixtures for Women's T20 World Cup 2026 out

The opening day of warm-ups will see eight teams in action, featuring a high-profile clash between New Zealand and South Africa—the finalists from the previous edition. Additionally, tournament debutants the Netherlands will gain vital experience as they face off against Scotland in Derby. These matches are particularly crucial for the Netherlands, Bangladesh, Ireland, and Scotland, all of whom earned their spots through the Global Qualifier and will rely on these games to fine-tune their strategies.

Meanwhile, Harmanpreet Kaur-led India will play their first warm-up match against West Indies on June 6. They will then take on England on June 10.

Another highly anticipated rematch between New Zealand and South Africa is scheduled for June 9 in Loughborough. Ticket sales have already surpassed 145,000 with a month still to go before the opening match between England and Sri Lanka in Birmingham.
