The distressing incident occurred in the aftermath of a match in the Aegis South Zone tournament, casting a shadow over the sport. On Thursday, February 22, during the celebratory moments after Karnataka secured a win against Tamil Nadu at the RSI cricket ground in Bengaluru, the cricketing world was struck by a heartbreaking event.

Hoysala was rushed to the hospital immediately

Efforts were made immediately to rush him to Bowring Hospital in Bengaluru, with hopes of saving the cricketer’s life. Despite the prompt response and the swift transport by ambulance, the journey ended in sorrow as Hoysala succumbed to a heart attack before reaching the medical facility. The news of his untimely demise broke on the evening of February 23, leaving the cricket fraternity in shock and grief.

Hoysala declared dead on arrival at hospital

Dr. Manoj Kumar, Dean of Bowring Hospital and Atal Bihari Medical College, confirmed the devastating news, stating that Hoysala was brought in deceased. The medical community and Hoysala's loved ones now await the results of the postmortem, hoping for answers to the sudden loss of a talented cricketer who had much more to offer to the game.

Hoysala was known for his prowess as a middle-order batter and bowler, representing Karnataka in the under-25 category, and showcasing his talent in the Karnataka Premier League. His sudden departure has left a void in the hearts of his teammates, fans, and the cricketing community at large.

This tragic incident serves as a somber reminder of the fragility of life, leaving the cricket world to mourn the loss of a promising talent whose time on the field was cut tragically short.
