Team India pacer Mohammed Shami recently shared high praise for his teammates, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. Shami lauded Kohli, describing him as the "world's best batter," acknowledging his extraordinary achievements and streak of record-setting performances. Furthermore, Shami commended Rohit Sharma, India's captain, calling him the "world's most dangerous batter," highlighting Sharma's impactful batting that often intimidates opponents.
"Virat Kohli is the best batsman in the world. Virat has just broken a lot of records. I feel Virat is the best and Rohit Sharma is the most dangerous batter in the world," Shami told News18.
This admiration was voiced following Rohit Sharma's leadership in India's 106-run victory against England in the Vizag Test, a win that equalized the five-match series at 1-1. Kohli is on a break for personal reasons, having opted out of the first two Tests against England, with his participation in the subsequent games still in question.

"People talk about the performance of the bowlers during the World Cup, but, if you have to look at the overall picture, you have to go back to 2013 and 2014. That is where the journey started. If we look at the facts now, we only had three fast bowlers performing in the World Cup this time, which makes us believe that we have set the benchmark for future bowlers," Shami added.
