A flood-like situation has hit several Gujarati cities as a result of heavy rain. After the Vishwamitri river, which was running through Vadodra breached its banks and entered residential areas. The city struggled with flooding in a large portion of low-lying areas even after rain stopped falling. Indian cricketer Radha Yadav posted a video to her Instagram story on Wednesday in which she described how the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) saved her from a "very bad situation." While buildings, roads, and automobiles continue to be inundated, officials from the NDRF can be seen transporting a few people on a boat in the video.
“We are Stuck in a Very bad situation. Thank you so much #NDRF for rescuing us,” Radha captioned on her Insta Story.
Earlier, former India all-rounder Irfan Pathan also tweeted and asked the people who live in Baroda to stay safe and indoors by tweeting from his official 'X'. "Stay safe, Baroda. Flooding is widespread, so please stay indoors for your own safety," Pathan wrote.
