Niki Prasad-led side Team India defeated Bangladesh women's under-19 cricket team by eight wickets in the ongoing Women's U-19 Asia Cup match at Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia. This was India's second win in the tournament. Team India have played three matches where the second match against Nepal ended without result due to rain. 

With this win against Bangladesh, India becomes the first team of Group A to seal their berth in the Super Four of the ongoing T20 tournament. Coming back to the Bangladesh clash, After opting to bowl, Indian bowlers bowled perfectly as they bundled out Bangladesh on Just 80/8 in 20 overs. India's Aayushi Shukla was the pick of the bowlers with (3/9) and Sonam Yadav (2/6) also picked performed brilliantly.

While Chasing, India's G Trisha dominated Bangladesh's bowlers as she scored an unbeaten 58 off just 45 deliveries including three boundaries. India skipper Niki Prasad also led from the front in batting, she remained unbeaten on 22, including two maximums. Both Niki and Trisha stitched an unbeaten 64-run partnership to guide India home in just 12.1 overs. Bangladesh's Anisa Akter Soba picked up two wickets for Bangladesh and apart from her no other bowlers managed to pick up a wicket against India

India are currently number one in the super four points table tally with three points and their NRR is 3.068. Nepal are currently second followed by Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.
