On October 5, the venue and dates for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 mega auction were announced. A total of 1,574 players registered for the mega auction included 30 players from associate nation. This will be the first auction where an Italian player will feature. Initially, it was speculated that it might be former Australian batter Joe Burns who has started playing for Italy. However, it is not Burns but a 24-year-old Thomas Jack Draca who will go under the hammer if he makes it into the final list.

In the full list of players accessed by Sports Tak, it is Draca who wants to feature in the IPL 2025. In the auction registration list, he is placed 325th. He just just ahead of Canada all-rounder Harsh Thaker. Interestingly, Draca has a Mumbai Indians (MI) connection. He featured in MI Emirates' squad for ILT20. However, he did not play a single game for them.

Earlier this year, Draca made his T20I debut against Luxembourg. The pacer has eight wickets from four games at an average of 8.50. His economy is impressive at 4.25 runs per over in T20Is.
