New Delhi: Former India cricketer and National Cricket Academy (NCA) head Rahul Dravid has officially applied for the post of head coach of India’s men's cricket team, a Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) source confirmed it to Sports Tak. Talking about the application, the source said, “Yes, today was the deadline and we have got his (Dravid’s) application.
Earlier Sports Tak had reported that recently BCCI officials had a meeting with Dravid in United Aram Emirates (UAE) and convinced him to take up the charge of head coach position.
BCCI had invited the job applications for coaching department earlier this month and deadline for head coach position was today.
Current Indian head coach Ravi Shastri’s tenure will come to an end after the completion of the ongoing T20 World Cup 2021. Earlier Paras Mhambrey had also submitted his application for the bowling coach position to replace Bharat Arun.
