Afghanistan veteran cricketer and captain slammed Pakistan for their air strikes on civilian territory that cost the lives of three young cricketers, Kabeer, Sibghatullah, and Haroon, along with eight people killed in the airstrike in the Urgun district. Seven others were reportedly injured. Rashid called Pakistan's move immoral and barbaric to target civilian infrastructure.

After the air strikes Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) has withdrawn from their men’s team's upcoming tri-series involving the Pakistan cricket team. Rashid, who will now be seen featuring in a T20I series against Zimbabwe, has backed the ACB for their decision not to feature against Pakistan.
"I am deeply saddened by the loss of civilian lives in the recent Pakistani aerial strikes on Afghanistan. A tragedy that claimed the lives of women, children, and aspiring young cricketers who dreamed of representing their nation on the world stage" Rashid Khan posted on 'X'.
"It is absolutely immoral and barbaric to target civilian infrastructure. These unjust and unlawful actions represent a grave violation of human rights and must not go unnoticed," the post further reads.
"In light of the precious innocent souls lost, I welcome the ACB’s decision of withdrawing from upcoming fixtures against Pakistan. I stand with our people at this difficult time, our national dignity must come before all else" wrote Rashid.

After the deaths of three young cricketers and innocent civilians, the Afghanistan Cricket Board has withdrawn from the tri-nation series featuring Sri Lanka, Afghanistan and Pakistan which was supposed to take place in November later this year.
