Australia cricketing star Glenn Maxwell who represents Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in Indian Premier League (IPL) celebrated his 36th birthday on Monday and the fans and fellow cricketers wished the explosive batter on his birth anniversary. However, there was no social media post from his IPL franchise RCB. Maxwell joined the franchise in 2021 and represented the team for three seasons but this gesture from RCB forced the fans to speculate that will be released from the squad ahead of the upcoming mega auction. 

However, RCB has not announced anything official on Glenn Maxwell so far. 

Fans took their social media to speculate the future of RCB star ahead of mega auction. 

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the retention policy for the upcoming season of IPL. Under new rules, each franchise can retain a maximum of five players in its team. It can also include one player in their team under the Right to Match card in the mega auction. In this way, in total, only six players can be seen playing with their old franchise. While the rest of the team may change. BCCI has now given the last date for releasing the retention list to all the teams all teams must submit their list by 31st October. Before this, all the franchises will have to give the names of the players to be retained.
 

The IPL governing body has given 31st October as the deadline to all the teams to announce their final list. Any player who makes his debut for Team India before this day will be kept in the category of a capped player.
