India wicketkeeper batter Rishabh Pant is currently on the road to recovery from the injury he got in England during the five-Test match series of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy 2025. The 27-year-old star was in a purple patch of his career before getting an injury during the fourth Test match. He scored 479 runs in four Tests (seven Innings) before getting a foot injury while batting. He was struck by a yorker from Chris Woakes.
Despite the painful blow, Pant displayed his fighting spirit by returning to score a half-century in the same game. However, the injury forced him out of the fifth Test, with Dhruv Jurel taking over the wicketkeeping duties. Pant, who keeps updating fans on his rehabilitation journey, shared a picture on his Instagram from inside a cryotherapy chamber where he can be seen with a plastered leg.

What is Cryotherapy
Cryotherapy is a modern recovery method involving extreme cold, which is used to accelerate healing. It involves brief (3-4 minute) exposure to ultra-low temperatures (e.g., -130°C to -140°C) in a chamber to reduce inflammation, accelerate muscle recovery, boost metabolism, and enhance overall well-being.
The BCCI is yet to announce his cricketing comeback, however there are chances that the wicketkeeper batter will make his international comeback in the upcoming two-Test match series against West Indies. The red-ball series between India and West Indies is scheduled to start from October 02.
