India A opened their win account with a comprehensive eight-wicket win over Pakistan A in Women's Asia Cup Rising Stars 2026 group stage clash at Terdthai Cricket Ground, Bangkok. After bowlers’ clinical display bowled out Pakistan for 93 in the 19th over, Vrinda Dinesh’s unbeaten fifty ensured India registered a big win with 59 balls to spare.
Collapse in powerplay overs
Earlier, Pakistan A skipper Hafsa Khalid won the toss and opted to bat first. Saima Thakor struck in her first over, knocking over Yusra Amir off the last ball. In the fourth over, Pakistan lost two wickets. First, Jintimani Kalita got the wicket of Omaima Sohail. Then, Eman Naseer was run out by Anushka Sharma. Saima returned and knocked over skipper Hafsa in the fifth over. After powerplay overs, Pakistan A were 29/4.
Pakistan bowled out under 100
In the eighth over, Radha Yadav introduced herself into the attack and trapped Huraina Sajjad in front of the wickets. Meanwhile, Shawaal Zulfiqar continued to play the anchor role. Gull Rukh hit the first six of the innings. In her next over, Radha ended Shawaal's stay at the crease. The opener scored 23 runs from 29 balls. At the halfway stage, Pakistan A were 46/6.

In the 11th over, Prema Rawat got into the act and dismissed Waheeda Akhtar. Anosha Nasir hit a couple of boundaries before getting run out for a run-a-ball 17. Gull's resistance came to an end in the 18th over. She departed for a 28-ball 21 to Prema. In the penultimate over, Minnu Mani got Momina Riasat stumped for four runs. Pakistan A were bowled out for 93 in 18.5 overs.
Vrinda makes it easy run chase for India
In the run chase, India got an early jolt as Waheeda dismissed Humairaa Kaazi for a golden duck. But, soon enough India got back to business. Vrinda Dinesh hit Anosha Nasir for three fours in an over. Anushka dealt in boundaries too, using the fielding restrictions. In the sixth over, Vrinda hit Gull for four fours. India A were 63/1 after powerplay overs.
In the ninth over, Momina broke the partnership with Anushka's wicket. She scored 24 runs from 26 balls, featuring four fours. They shared a 79-run partnership from 50 deliveries. In the same over, Vrinda completed her fifty from 25 deliveries. Omaima was introduced into the attack and Tejal Hasabnis hit the first six of the innings. On the first ball of the 11th over, Tejal hit a boundary to finish the run chase with 59 balls to spare. Vrinda remained unbeaten for 55 off 29 balls. Her knock was laced with 12 fours.
India A open win account
This is India A's first win of the tournament. In the previous game, they lost to UAE by seven wickets. On the other hand, Pakistan A started their campaign with a comfortable 30-run win.
