“Cricket has been an integral part of our family. Exploring its potential in e-sports is thrilling. Owning the Mumbai franchise in GEPL is a dream come true, merging my passion for the game with my love for the city. I'm eager to collaborate with our talented team to build a beloved e-sports franchise that inspires and entertains,” Sara Tendulkar said.
As the owner of the Mumbai franchise, Sara demonstrates her strong ties to the area and upholds the league's emphasis on regionalization, creativity, leadership, and an ardent love of esports. Arjun, Sara's brother, is a member of the Mumbai Indians' 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL) team. Arjun plays domestic cricket for Goa and has participated in five IPL games. On the other hand, MI's IPL icon is Sachin Tendulkar. The Indian Masters, which Sachin recently played for, defeated the West Indies by six wickets in the final to win the International Masters League 2025.
