The Indian cricket fraternity reacted to the Delhi blast tragedy and expressed their sadness over the lives that were lost due to the incident. The blast took place near the Red Fort on November 10, Monday and is still a huge topic of discussion as police investigate the incident.

What happened in Delhi?

Notably, a car had exploded near the Red Fort Metro station, causing chaos all around.. At least 8 to 10 people lost their lives due to the incident while 20-24 others are reportedly injured. This incident led to the security being tightened all around Delhi and surrounding areas.

India head coach Gautam Gambhir was among the ones who expressed sorrow over the incident. He shared his reaction to the incident through a social media post and prayed for the families of the deceased and for those who are recovering in the hospital.

On the other hand, former India cricketer Shikhar Dhawan was also deeply saddened by the incident and shared his prayers for the victims and their families.

Former India pacer Ishant Sharma also reacted to the tragic incident and prayed for the peace of everyone in Delhi.

Security beefed up around Feroz Shah Kotla

The blast led to the security being tightened around the Feroz Shah Kotla as well where the Ranji Trophy encounter between Delhi and Jammu & Kashmir is taking place. The stadium is just a few kilometres away from where the blast happened.
