CAB President Snehasish Ganguly has sought umpires' and observer's reports.

Bengal wicketkeeper-batter Shreevats Goswami who was a member of Virat Kohli-led Under-19 World Cup-winning side on February 29 alleged match-fixing in the Cricket Association of Bengal's (CAB) first division league match where batters seemed to leave the ball on purpose letting it hit the stumps.

Goswami shared videos of a game between Mohammedan Sporting and Town Club on his Facebook page which was deleted later.

"This is a Super Division match in Kolkata Club Cricket, two big teams doing this, any idea what's going on here??" Goswami posted.

Goswami alleged that Mohammedan Sporting batters were throwing their wickets away to help Town Club win. The Town Club is associated with former Team India manager and current CAB secretary Debabrata Das.

In the video, a right-handed batter is seen leaving the ball headed straight for his stumps. The batter did not offer a shot or show disappointment as he walked off the field. In another video, a left-handed batter danced down the crease to a wide delivery and got stumped.

CAB president Snehasish Ganguly said that the board has asked for a report from the umpires and observers.

"We have called a tournament committee meeting on March 2 to take up the matter," Ganguly told PTI.

"I am ashamed to see this having played the game which is so close to my heart. I love cricket and I love playing in Bengal but looking at this breaks my heart.

"Club cricket is heart and soul of Bengal cricket please don't ruin it. I think this is called 'got up' cricket. Where is the media now?" he added.

Goswami’s IPL career
