Meanwhile, there is no update on Sarfaraz Khan who missed the clash against Maharashtra due to discomfort in quadriceps. He may feature in the clash against Himachal Pradesh. Also, Mumbai have added 34-year-old off-spinner Shashank Attarde to the squad. He has played just two List A games, taking one wicket.
Currently, Mumbai are placed second in Group C with four wins from five games. Their only defeat came against Maharashtra.
Iyer’s fitness test in VHT
Earlier this month, Iyer was picked in India’s squad for the ODI series against New Zealand. However, his participation is subject to fitness. He will prove his game fitness in the VHT games before linking up with the squad in Vadodra for the series opener.
