The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the nominees for the ICC Men's Player of the Month. India’s ODI and Test captain Shubman Gill, Bangladesh all-rounder Mosaddek Hossain and New Zealand’s Nathan Smith have been shortlisted for their respective standout performances in the month of June.

How the nominees performed in June 2026?
Gill had registered a 126-run knock in India's win against Afghanistan in one-off Test. He followed it up with a 64-ball 88 and a stellar 154 against Afghanistan in the ODI series. He was named 'Player of the match' and 'Player of the series' as India whitewashed Afghanistan in the three-ODI series. He will be action on July 14 when India go up against England in the ODI series opener at Edgbaston, Birmingham.
New Zealand's fast-bowling all-rounder Nathan Smith was in splendid form in the three-Test series on English soil. He claimed 16 wickets at 23 apiece. In the opening Test at Lord's, he claimed a six-fer in the second innings in a losing cause. New Zealand went on to win the series 2-1. His recent appearance was in the ODI series opener against West Indies on July 11. He will continue to play in the ODI series on Caribbean soil.
Hossain made his comeback in the ODIs after four years against Australia. In Bangladesh's historic 2-1 ODI series win against Bangladesh, he was adjudged 'Player of the series'. He scored the most of runs for Bangladesh in the series. From three innings, he scored 157 runs at a strike rate of 116.29, including two fifties. His high score in the series was 86 not out. With the ball, he bagged a couple of wickets at 39.50 apiece. His economy rate was an impressive 4.38 runs per over. However, his form has taken a slump in July. He managed to score just 10 runs in two innings in the ODI series against Zimbabwe.

Currently, the fans can vote for their favourite player on ICC’s official website. The winner of ICC’s Men’s Player of the Month (June 2026) will be announced later this week.
