Legendary cricketers Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli bid adieu to the shortest format of game in International cricket after announcing T20I retirement following the Indian cricket team's historic win in the recently concluded edition of the T20 World Cup 2024. They defeated South Africa in the Final by 7 runs and after the match, the whole world got to see many beautiful bromance moments between Rohit and Virat but there was one moment that actually went unnoticed. It came when both of them came out to open the innings against the Proteas.

Team India receives a grand welcome

 

Upon their arrival in India from Barbados, the Men in Blue side received a grand welcome. There was a swarm of Indian fans waiting for their champions at the Delhi airport. The players then went to meet the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi at his residence. They had a great interaction with the PM, where they discussed their campaign in the mega tournament. After this, the team took a flight to Mumbai for further celebrations. They took part in a kilometer-long open bus parade from Marine Drive to Wankhede Stadium. The number of people who showed for this victory march was just astronomical. This was followed by a felicitation ceremony in Wankhede Stadium that concluded the big day.
